Library Directors at Albright College, Reading, PA Daniel Gideon Lubold 1926-1934 Lubold was elected twice to hold the ttle of head librarian of Schuylkill College. Lubold stayed on to head up the library at Albright College when the two insttutons merged. Robert L. Work 1934-1941 Work was described as versatle and perhaps that is why he managed to fulfll the positon of librarian but also many other positons. When the next librarian was brought onto campus, Work transferred to Harvard and their reference department. F. Louise Eastland 1941-1943 Afer receiving her degree in Library Science from Drexel Insttute (University today) she came to work as the assistant to Robert Work. She only held the assistant positon untl Work lef for Harvard . She then became the head librarian. She soon lef Albright to go to the library at Swarthmore College.
