To fnd journal artcles, students had to sif through volumes of print journal indexes . This methodology started changing in the mid-to-late 1980s when CD-ROM statons were added for student searching. Online searching and of-site searching came to Albright in the 1990s. Students browsing the stacks for that perfect book has not changed that much in decades. Note the rack of current newspapers (far lef ) and the student reading a newspaper in the late 1990s. At this point only a few major newspapers, like the New York Times, had online accessible artcles. These artcles required special login procedures and the papers charged a fee to read or print the artcles.
